Dr. William AIKEN
- Consultant Urologist and lecturer at the University of the West Indies has written extensively on the subject of men’s health. He is the immediate past president of the Jamaica Urological Society. In his article he encourages men to take charge of their health and make the necessary effort to maintain good health.
 
Sancia CAMPBELL
- is a Public Relations Practitioner and Event Planner. She is currently employed to the Jamaica Business Development Centre in the area of Communications and Public Relations. She takes us through the development of Emancipation Park – from a dust bowl in the heart of New Kingston to the welcoming oasis it is today.
Ruth CHISHOLM
- is a Communication Specialist with experience in Behaviour Change, Crisis Communication and Disaster Management. She is also a Red Cross volunteer. Her passions include dance, film studies and literature. Ruth hopes to use her God-given gifts to move and inspire readers to positive action. She visits Faith’s Pen for a bit of fresh air, friendly bartering and some tasting of great “yard” food.
 
Simone FOOTE
- Manager - Business Development & Marketing at one of the leading general insurance companies in Jamaica, British Caribbean Insurance Company Limited (BCIC), has 16 years experience within the general insurance industry. One of her favourite pastimes is trekking off the beaten path to collect unusual art pieces. She shares with us some of her finds and how these have made a difference to the ambience of her home.
Michele GEISTER
- lifestyle journalist, television producer/director, Michele Geister’s original broadcast productions like “Island Dreams”, “Vibes Cuisine” and “Makeover Magic” have become Jamaican household phrases. A former MuchMusic Network entertainment and music video producer, she made the change from “life in the fast lane” to focus on positive, life-affirming stories or “media with a message” as she likes to say. We stop in with her at a bachelor pad where art and warm colours create a contemporary and chic space.
 
Keith GOLDSON
- is an active member of the Jamaica Horticultural Society and has been president of the organization twice. He is an avid gardener and spends a lot of his time researching plants and working in his garden (Ribble Ridge) in St. Andrew. In this issue he shows us how to avoid certain pitfalls as we try to create the garden of our dreams.
Janice LINDSAY
- has a keen interest in cultural heritage tourism, and holds a Masters Degree in Heritage Studies from the University of the West Indies (UWI). She is currently doing her PhD in World Cultural Heritage Studies at the University of Tsukuba in Japan and has spent a great deal of time exploring and highlighting elements of Jamaica’s cultural heritage. She visits the famous Coronation Market and gives us the story of two almost inseparable herbs – escallion and thyme.
 
Helen MALCOLM
- is a registered pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Technology, Jamaica. She is also a Nutritional Consultant and a Poison Information Coordinator for the Caribbean Poison Information Network (CARPIN). She gives us valuable pointers on how to get the best from our doctors and the medication they prescribe.
Roxiline MORRISON-SPENCE
- is an experienced educator and trainer both in the classroom and Corporate Business world. As Superintendent of the largest children’s home in Jamaica she has been involved with children’s issues. She currently produces and presents a weekly discussion radio programme on Hot 102 FM, “Common Sense Parenting”, and is also a mediator with the Dispute Resolution Foundation. She gives practical advice on how to help our children develop self-control.
 
Rosemary PARKINSON
- loves art, good food and hopping throughout the Caribbean. She is a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine and an avid photographer. Her publications include: “Culinaria: The Caribbean,” “Jerking around Jamaica” and “Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres”, and the recently published “Nyam Jamaica”. In this issue she takes us along as she tours the beautiful island of St. Lucia.
Dr. Arlene ROSE
- is a Consultant Dermatologist specializing in cosmetic surgery with special interest in anti-ageing treatments. She also has a passion for art and is an artist in her own right as a lot of her spare time is spent painting. She chats with well-known artist Owen Beckford about his life and work and also introduces us to some modern techniques available to us for looking younger.
 
Fay WINT-SMITH
- is an interior designer and has written on design for several publications including The Gleaner. Her design business, Design Details, specializes in commercial and residential interior design as well as in construction finishes. In this issue she talks to Barbara and Owen Chambers in their beautiful antique-filled home, and visits their colourful flowering garden. In her Interior Design feature she suggests how collections can be used to personalize our homes.
